Leadership

Golf Professionals, more times than not, are the face of the facility they work at. That is a heavy responsibility that should not be taken lightly. Professionals should be on their A-game every day, from the second they arrive on property. Their leadership reach starts at the facility, but should extend throughout the local community.
Professionals should find weaknesses and strengths that each staff member carries. Highlight the strengths within the operational duties, and slowly improve the weaknesses through diligent training. Professionals also have the opportunity to lead club members in unique ways. Sometimes it is as simple as how to care for the golf course, but can be as difficult as laying down the law on how to respect staff and club members alike. Professionals also have golden opportunities to touch their local community in impactful ways. This can be done by volunteering time within the local PGA Section.
